Veg Van Driver - This post is a part-time paid position and is for the From Plot to Pot Project.  We are looking for someone to drive our Veg Van (converted Bus) from May 2010 to the villages of Teesdale to sell the local produce we have grown and sourced.  The unique person needs to be available to drive between 4-7:30pm on the days set for the Veg Van sales (TBC).  They need to be good with people and it would be very helpful if they knew a little about fruit and vegetables and how to operate a cash register (however we can help out in that department).  If you are interested in the post, please contact Jill Bacon on 01833 69 00 22 or email us at rotterscomposting@yahoo.co.uk

Volunteers Needed

The From Plot to Pot Project has several volunteer places that need filling - are you the one for the job?

Mondays - Demonstration Veg Garden - Our gardener John will be working on our veg garden here at TCV HQ on Mondays starting from 25th January 2010.  If you have time and would like to join him as a volunteer, please contact us on 01833 69 00 22 or email us at rotterscomposting@yahoo.co.uk

Wednesdays - The Bowes Community Garden - Our gardener John will be working on the community veg garden at Bowes Museum on Mondays starting from 27th January 2010.  If you have time and would like to join him as a volunteer, please contact us on 01833 69 00 22 or email us at rotterscomposting@yahoo.co.uk

Fridays - Mill Farm - Our gardener John will be working on our veg garden at Cothersone on Fridays starting from 29th January 2010.  If you have time and would like to join him as a volunteer, please contact us on 01833 69 00 22 or email us at rotterscomposting@yahoo.co.uk

Tues and Thurs - As needed - John will be working on whichever garden needs the most attention on a Tues or Thurs.  If you have time and would like to join him as a volunteer, please contact us on 01833 69 00 22 or email us at rotterscomposting@yahoo.co.uk

ROTTERS - We are always willing to take on volunteers for the Rotters Rounds and those rounds are expanding this year.  So if you have time and would like to be a part of our green waste pick-up team any day of the week, please contact us on 01833 69 00 22 or email us at rotterscomposting@yahoo.co.uk

OTHER AREAS - We need You - If you have an interest in conservation, wholesome local food  or sustainable fuels, contact us, come down, become part of the team! Have you any skills you could share?Some of the jobs you could become involved in : Rotters Rounds - Composting on Site - Woodland Work - Charcoal Burning - Fund Raising - Woodland Festival - Building the Good Life Centre - Growing Fruit & Veg - Looking after  Hens  - Electrics, plumbing, brick work, wood work? Please, if you can, get involved in the building of the Good Life Centre.
